Sammy and the Flying Ring Sammy and the Flying Ring is a beautifully illustrated rhyming story about friendship, rescue and protecting marine life. Sammy and Sully love meeting by the seashore, where the waves go “splish and splat”. One night, a bright pink flying ring washes through the water and becomes trapped around Sammy’s neck. Sammy cannot free himself, but Sully refuses to leave his friend in danger. He flies for help and returns with a rescue boat.
